Are your cushions designed solely for sitting in cross legged postures? I usually use a bench as sitting cross legged creates pain in my back. Is there a way for me to use your cushion on a bench?

The Moonleap cushion is specifically designed to support those who sit in cross legged postures. We currently do not offer any products that are designed for other postures. We would not recommend using the Moonleap cushion with a bench if you are sitting in a raised kneeling (seiza)  posture. If you are using a wide deep bench to raise the cushion up just a few inches to sit in a more open cross legged posture, this would could work however.

Additional note: If you experience back pain whilst attempting to sit cross legged, it might be that the cushion you are using is too low, placing stain on your back muscles. There are many causes of back pain and back pain whilst sitting in meditation so I'm not suggesting buying one of our cushions would magically enable you to sit cross legged. However, whatever support you use I would suggest that you ensure your knees are 2 to 4 inches below the height of your hips.
