Am I supposed to sit mainly on the middle foam cushion with my knees wide on the side supports or should I sit all the way back using the middle foam cushion for my feet in a half or full lotus?

The correct way to sit on a Moonleap meditation cushion is with the perineum centered over the central foam cushion with the outer sides of the buttocks and thighs resting on the firmer winged cushions. This way the majority of the meditator's weight is displaced to the least tender areas of the buttocks and upper legs. The cushion when used correctly also provides a conduit for the sciatic nerve and recesses for the Sit bones. Pressure applied to these area for prolonged periods can cause both numbness and considerable 'butt pain' when using a more traditional, less ergonomically designed cushion. Please see video under logo at top of page for further explanation.
